About The Role

We have an excellent opportunity for a Product Governance Manager to come join us on a permanent full-time basis working in central Bristol offering a thorough understanding of Product Governance requirements and how to operationalise them.

As part of our Product Development & Governance team, you will support the Head of Product Governance in supporting the businesses regulatory adherence and ensuring that we adherence to PROD rules and the application of the Consumer Duty and delivery of key processes and procedures to achieve the requirements of regulations.

Working with the wider Product Development, Sales and Underwriting teams this role is pivotal in overseeing and continuously improving product portfolio governance processes, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and enhancement of the customer journey and will act as SME in supporting the business deliveries.

As Product Governance Manager, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Working to promote governance, customer awareness and understanding and support our strategy of growth through utilisation, maximising customer value and continuously improving customer outcomes.
  • Collaborating with cross functional teams to ensure delivery of innovative product solutions that not only meet customer and regulatory needs but also enhance the customer overall journey evaluate and enhance our offerings.
  • Assessing the Product Review template and its contents supporting the Head of Product Governance to ensure our assessments templates are annually reviewed and achieve comprehensive regulatory standards.
  • Supporting first line reporting, actions and monitoring of Consumer Duty outcomes as relevant to Product Governance.
  • Working closely with other first and second line functions within the Consumer Duty Governance framework to develop action plans for continuous improvement of Consumer Duty outcomes.
  • Supporting / undertaking delivery of activities linked to the Consumer Duty, Value Measures and Fair Value Assessments.
  • Analyse industry performance of DAS/ARAG results compared with peer organisations.
  • Ensure compliance with company and international Group standards.

  • A proven understanding of insurance product/proposition/service domain and development. Along with an understanding of customer needs, and market trends.
  • Knowledge and proven understanding of FCA regulations including but not limited to the PROD Handbook and Consumer Duty
  • Knowledge of operational, technical, reputational, and regulatory risks
  • The ability to influence and communicate with confidence at all levels of internal and external stakeholders.
  • To be collaborative and able to work with others to set strategic goals, resolve problems and make decisions to enhance the effectiveness of the business.
  • Success at developing and managing internal and external stakeholders to build effective working relationships.
  • Ability to analyse data and aid informed decision making.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and manage workload effectively.
  • Understanding of being able to think customer and apply this practically in work tasks.
