About The Role
 
We have an exciting opportunity to join our IT department as a Data Centre Engineer
The Data Centre Engineer role is to support all existing networks as well as project based work to improve and enhance the network environment.  The role holder will work with colleagues in the Data Centre team, and the wider IT Operations section, to support, maintain, configure and upgrade all elements of the DC infrastructure estate.

About You
The successful candidate will have:
          Highly effective communication both written and oral
          Inquisitorial and problem solving focus to provide exceptional service delivery to all users within DAS
          Experienced in supporting and maintaining relevant network technologies within the Data Centre.
          Experienced with other core networking technologies such as Group Policy Management.
          Able to inspire trust in relationships within the DAS UK Group and with external parties to facilitate the delivery of a stable network.
          Dedicated to providing a great customer experience
          Ability to balance quality of output with pace by managing time effectively
          A thirst for learning and a passion for technology, with an enthusiasm to stay up-to-date with industry trends and advances
          Produce network solutions for a variety of systems, including live, test and development environments.
          Ability to work in a rota for out of hours support.
          Great troubleshooting skills and good understanding of root cause analysis methodology
          Strong end to end network stack understanding
          Fluency in reading network traces to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
