About The Role
DAS UK Group are looking for a Claims Handler to join the team in central Bristol. Our claims department is at the heart of our market-leading legal expenses insurance provision, and we are looking for individuals who have a passion for going the extra mile for their customers. You can expect to manage a diverse range of claims from beginning to end, from commercial and personal contract disputes through to employment, clinical negligence or motor claims.

You may currently be working in financial services in a claims or contact centre role, be a graduate looking to start your career in financial services or be working in hospitality/retail or similar and excel at customer service. Regardless of your background, if you excel on delivering excellent customer service whilst remaining empathetic and resilient in a fast paced environment we would love to hear from you. 

As a Claims Handler you can expect to:

  • Manage a diverse range of claims from beginning to end, from commercial and personal contract disputes through to employment, clinical negligence or motor claims, whilst keeping up with company and legislative requirements to deliver excellent service to our customers.
  • Oversee the customer experience throughout the claim life-cycle from first point of contact to investigating evidence and making informed decisions on claims outcomes, displaying empathy and compassion throughout.
  • Provide clear, concise and accurate information to our customers, business partners and internal customers.
  • Quickly develop your knowledge of DAS products and policies to become an expert in assessing claims, identifying high-risk claims and managing appointments of litigators and solicitors where necessary.
About You

We are looking for candidates that can demonstrate:

  • An understanding of delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment;
  • Experience of working in customer facing or technical role;
  • A calm and patient manner when dealing with challenging and emotional claims; and
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.

Whilst this is a permanent full time position, at DAS we support flexible working and would be open to discuss flexible working options.
