About The Role

With offices in the heart of central Bristol, just a short walk from Bristol Temple Meads station, DAS UK Group has a new opportunity to join our Operational Planning department as a Forecasting and Planning Analyst.

This position will predominately develop, manage and govern DAS UK Group’s Claims, forecasting and capacity planning model, providing accurate and timely forecasts to inform and support optimum operational and business performance.

The successful applicant will oversee performance delivery versus expectations and ensure robust learning through detailed root cause analysis and assumption amendment processes are in place, understood and managed appropriately.

This position will suit somebody with good communication and influencing skills and an ability to develop and maintain excellent key stakeholder management at all levels within the business.

Accountabilities and responsibilities:

  • To gather and model the data required to build short, medium and long term forecasts for the operation and its internal and external clients;
  • Working in partnership with relevant areas of the business, ensure both business expansion and retraction plans are modelled, and forecast predictions amended as required;
  • To produce actionable MI and drive the operation to focus on key metrics;
  • To drive a programme of stakeholder meetings and document governance to ensure visibility, understanding and agreement with forecast predictions;
  • To provide operational budget oversight, variance feedback and mitigation solutions;
  • Monitor Forecast, Required, Productive and Budget FTE numbers, identifying gaps and working with key areas of the business to resolve in a timely and efficient manner;
  • Manage forecasting input assumptions;
  • To model and flag as required the impact of any assumption deviation;
  • Ensure forecasting outputs are handed over to Resource Management in a timely fashion so that the needs of the business, customer, operation and employee can be met;
  • Identify opportunities for improvements in forecasting and make use of ‘what if’ scenario modelling and impact analysis; and
  • To track recruitment and attrition.
About You

We are looking for candidates that are open to working flexibly across both our Bristol and Bedwas (Caerphilly) offices and who can demonstrate:

  • Knowledge of MS Office, particularly advanced in MS Excel;
  • Experience of working in large multi-skilled contact centre environments;
  • Use of eWFM tools to produce work/call forecasting information;
  • Analytical and logical thinking with the ability to apply creative solutions to resource constraints;
  • Experience of managing resources to a controlled and defined budget;
  • Commercial focus and business acumen; and
  • Capability of translating forecasting information into potential financial impacts.
