About The Role

DAS UK Group are looking for a Claims Handler to join our vibrant team in central Bristol. Our claims department is at the heart of our market-leading legal expenses insurance provision, and we are looking for individuals who have a passion for going the extra mile for their customers. You will manage a diverse range of claims from beginning to end, from commercial and personal contract disputes through to employment, clinical negligence or motor claims. As a Claims Handler you can expect to:

  • Manage allocated cases against a variety of claims whilst keeping up with company and legislative requirements to deliver excellent service to our customers.
  • Manage the customer experience throughout the claim life-cycle from first point of contact to investigating evidence and making informed decisions on claims outcomes, displaying empathy and compassion throughout.
  • Provide clear, concise and accurate information to our customers, business partners and internal customers.
  • Develop your knowledge of DAS products and policies to become an expert in assessing claims, identifying high-risk claims and managing appointments of litigators and solicitors where necessary.
About You

We are looking for candidates that can demonstrate:

  • Experience of working within an insurance or financial services based role
  • Experience dealing with the general public and understanding of the importance of delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.
  • A calm and patient manner when dealing with challenging and emotional claims whilst working under pressure.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
