About The Role

We are looking for a Paralegal to join DAS Law‘s Employment Team on a 12 month fixed term contract. With offices based in the heart of Bristol office, this is a great opportunity to join a team that handles a wide selection of litigation work, advising on all aspects of employment law acting for both employees and employers.

As part of a team of over 30 lawyers, paralegals and support staff, you will enjoy an early level of client contact and file responsibility as well as undertaking varied work including; providing non contentious HR support to several large commercial clients.

As a Paralegal you can expect to:

  • Work on a wide variety of litigation matters both in the Employment Tribunal and Employment Appeals Tribunal acting for both employees and employers;
  • Have exposure to a range of complex legal issues including discrimination, equal pay, TUPE, unfair dismissal, whistleblowing and other contractual claims;
  • Be responsible for all claim stages, from inception to conclusion, including drafting of pleadings, witness statements, direct client contact, advocacy, and negotiation;
  • Assess the prospects of success, negotiate and litigate claims through the Employment Tribunal; and
  • Advise commercial clients on non-contentious matters including drafting of staff handbooks, contracts of employments and advising on internal matters such as grievances and disciplinaries;

About You

We are looking for candidates that can demonstrate:

  • Knowledge of employment law with a year’s experience dealing with employment cases;
  • Excellent client care skills
