About The Role

We are recruiting for an eLearning Specialist to join our Learning and Development (L&D) team. With offices in the heart of central Bristol and just a short walk from Bristol Temple Meads Station, this is an excellent opportunity to join a vibrant and friendly team that lives the DAS values.

As the eLearning Specialist you will be responsible for designing engaging learning solutions that meet the needs of both our employees and external business partners. You will have the opportunity to engage with your creative side, producing eLearning courses that provide our business partners with product and technical on-line training to boost their knowledge of our products.

For internal employees, you can expect to create a library of role related learning content working alongside subject matter experts. This will involve creating a selection of on demand self-guided learning, blended learning and resources to assist in the development of technical knowledge and capability. You will have the autonomy to create all assets required for each e-learning project including; creating and amending images, recording and editing audio and video.

In addition to your core role, you will also have shared responsibility for the development and maintenance of the DAS Learning Management System and provide support to the Learning & Development (L&D) function with digital content build.

You will primarily interact with the L&D team and subject matter experts across the business in developing and delivering digital training required to satisfy business and regulatory objectives. We are therefore looking for someone who has strong verbal and written communication skills, who can communicate with colleagues at all leaves and adapt their style based on the audience. You need to be a good listener, have good questioning techniques and are able to communicate effectively to check your understanding and gain clarity when needed.

About You

As well as understanding current trends and innovations in creative design, we are looking for candidates that can demonstrate:

  • Evidence of eLearning design, delivery and evaluation;
  • Experience of using authoring tools such as Articulate, Storyline including RISE to an expert level;
  • Evidence of publishing SCORM content ready for LMS
  • Evidence of training evaluation and quality control;
  • Knowledge of theories and models that underpin effective adult learning;
  • Evidence of resource management and resource planning skills;
  • Good listening skills, good questioning techniques and an ability to communicate effectively to check your understanding and gain clarity when needed;
  • Evidence of managing eLearning projects and success in managing these through to completion;
  • Evident passion for delivery, area of expertise and sharing best practice;
  • Strong teamwork and willingness to assist other team members when needed to ensure key priorities are delivered. A collaborative approach is essential.
