About The Role

We are looking for a Paralegal to join DAS Law in our Personal Injury (Multi Track) team on a full time permanent basis. DAS Law is an ambitious and innovative law firm occupying offices in the heart of Bristol. Your main tasks will include but will not be limited to:

  • Assisting designated Associates with their caseloads, working on all elements of litigated and non-litigated work in conjunction with the Associate;
  • Carrying a small caseload of your own which may include RTA or EL/PL cases;
  • Assessing prospects of success across a host of RTA/EL/PL personal injury claims;
  • Drafting schedules of past and future loss, draft care statements/witness statements and draft letters of advice to the claimant;
  • Gaining excellent working knowledge of the legal principles that are applicable to RTA and non-motor related accidents;
  • Supporting Associates whilst managing your own time.
About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience of handling a case load of claimant RTA/EL/PL personal injury cases in a team environment;
  • Demonstrable experience in quantifying general and special damages using appropriate case law and relevant sections of the Judicial College Guidelines;
  • Excellent legal analytical skills; organisational skills; flexibility; discipline in meeting and achieving deadlines and working within tight timescales;
  • A familiarity with Case Management systems and a willingness to use them to their full potential;
  • Excellent typing skills and an ability to comply with case management procedures

It is desirable but not essential to have:

  • Knowledge of multi-track litigation – including costs budgeting and case management if possible;
  • Some working knowledge of employment regulations; Highways Act; Occupiers Liability Act and Animals Act.
