About The Role

DAS Law is recruiting for a Litigation Assistant to join the Multi-Track Personal Injury Team in central Bristol. We operate as a fully independent firm whilst enjoying the significant benefit of sitting within the Munich Re/ERGO Group, and therefore being an integral part of the world’s largest insurance group.

The Multi-Track team handles a variety of complex personal injury claims including RTA, Occupiers liability, Employers liability and Public liability claims. As part of a hardworking and friendly unit, your main role will be to assist a team of 12 litigators in handling litigated Personal Injury claims from inception to conclusion.

In addition to the above, you can expect to:

  • Provide administrative support to the team including; calls to clients, medical agencies, and insurers, resolve ledger queries, deal with routine client care issues and general tasks such as collating court paperwork and trial bundles;
  • Submit files for closure when appropriate – if, for example, there is no prospect of success;
  • Ensure that all proper attendance notes are kept of all telephone calls;
  • Ensure that paper and electronic files are maintained in good order;
  • Log and scan incoming post effectively and accurately;
  • Record time appropriately and maximise costs recovery; and
  • Ensure that all limitation dates and court deadlines are complied with and properly diarised.

About You

We would like to hear from candidates with experience in a similar position (ideally assisting in handling caseloads of Claimant personal injury) and who can demonstrate:

  • Excellent client care skills;
  • Strong attention to detail;
  • High levels of organisation
