About The Role

We are looking for 2 Service Delivery Engineer’s to join DAS UK Group (Bristol) in the IT Operations department to support delivery of a stable and compliant service to end-users and selected business partners. The Service Delivery Engineer will work with colleagues in the Service Delivery team to manage incidents and service requests logged through our Core ITSM (IT Service Management Solution).

This role is a mixture of 1st Line and 2nd Line support, working on 3 weeks rotational shifts between 8am and 6pm.

As a Service Delivery Engineer you can expect to:

  • Provide appropriate technical support for hardware, software and networks across the business;
  • Deliver exceptional service to all users of IT, within a structured IT environment aligned to industry standard frameworks (COBIT, ITIL, ISO27001, ISO9001);
  • Work with internal colleagues and third parties in order to deliver technical services, ensuring established service levels are adhered to at all times;
  • Relentlessly focus on solving customer’s problems, you will strive continuously to better understand our internal customer’s needs;
  • Use automation wherever possible to build new, or improve existing, technical capabilities, thus driving down the rate of BAU IT operations;
  • Manage incidents and Service requests in an efficient and timely manner, whilst maintaining compliance and protecting the company’s information; and
  • Be aware of the key IT and cyber risks, and will proactively operate to minimise these within the remit of the role, acting quickly to notify of any potential or identified IT risks through the appropriate incidents and escalations process.
About You

We are looking for candidates that have:

  • Experience in supporting a VMware-based Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (View, vCentre, vSphere);
  • At least 6 months’ proven experience in supporting and maintaining end-user computing solutions including physical desktops, mobile devices (laptops, tablets, smart phones), printers, and end-device security and remote access technologies;
  • Experience with supporting a Windows 7 desktop estate;
  • Highly effective communication skills both written and oral;
  • An inquisitorial and problem solving focus to provide exceptional service delivery to all the end users;
  • Dedicated to providing a great customer experience;
  • An ability to balance quality of output with pace by managing time effectively; and
  • A thirst for learning and a passion for technology, with an enthusiasm to stay up-to-date with industry trends and advances.

It is desirable but not essential if you have:

  • Financial Services industry experience;
  • Formal Windows desktop qualifications (MCSE);
  • Experience of supporting a Windows 10 desktop estate;
  • Creation and deployment of Applications via ThinApp, App Volumes and App Layers; and
  • Working knowledge of mobile device management technologies (AirWatch).
