About The Role

DAS Law is looking for a Paralegal to join their Employment Team on a permanent basis in the Bristol office situated near to Temple Meads. This is an exciting new role to join a team where you will undertake a wide selection of litigation work, advising on all aspects of employment law acting for both employees and employers.

As part of a team of over 30 Lawyers, Paralegals and support staff, you will enjoy an early level of client contact and file responsibility as well as undertaking varied work including; providing non contentious HR support to several large commercial clients.

As a Paralegal you will:

  • Work on a wide variety of litigation matters both in the Employment Tribunal and Employment Appeals Tribunal acting for both employees and employers;
  • have exposure to a range of complex legal issues including discrimination, equal pay, TUPE, unfair dismissal, whistle blowing and other contractual claims;
  • be responsible for all claim stages, from inception to conclusion, including drafting of pleadings, witness statements, direct client contact, advocacy, and negotiation; and
  • advise commercial clients on non-contentious matters including drafting of staff handbooks, contracts of employments and advising on internal matters such as grievances and disciplinaries.

About You

The successful candidate will have:

  • excellent client care skills and will be articulate and confident in dealings with others whilst adhering to the SRA handbook; and
  • knowledge of employment law with a year’s experience dealing with employment cases.
