About The Role

An Administration Team Leader is required to join a market leading insurer and legal services provider DAS in the Ireland Operations department in Dublin. You will be responsible for the overall administrative functions of the Dublin Office, including oversight of the support function of the leadership team and will have supervisory responsibilities for the administration team.

As the Administration Team Leader you will:

  • Liaise with Head of Operations in relation to all administration and operations work

  • Take a proactive approach to understanding the day-to-day operational components of the Irish Office

  • Participate in the recruitment process for the team, train new joiners and provide any necessary additional training to current staff, developing training programs that effectively implement all company policies and procedures

  • Assign duties to individual staff members and prioritizing workloads

  • Manage calendars, responding to email and phone messages, assisting with customer requests and questions, coordinating meetings, compiling meeting materials and documents, creating presentations, booking travel and providing executive staff with support as needed

  • Ensure that all company projects, managed directly or indirectly through the Project Managers, are managed according to the DAS Project Framework and ERGO Steering Manual

  • Operational Underwriting to include:

  •     Providing Quotations directly to brokers or to the sales team, liaising with Operational Underwriting

  •     Processing new business and Setting up Policies – Holding Covered

  •     Any necessary policy adjustments during the term of cover

  •     Renewal of policies

  • Oversee the complaints process and investigation

  • Manage the receipt and lodgement of premium, bordereaux input and issuing of statements, checking with Bank of payments received/made; processing invoices and compiling disbursements

  • Oversee the production of the monthly Operational Report

  • All other requirements of administration/support function as the needs of the business dictates

About You

As an experienced Administration Team Leader, you will have:

  • Minimum of two years’ experience with an insurance and/or claims environment/or customer facing or service environment in a supervisory position

  • Minimum Competency in insurance or working towards completing your exams, plus a basic knowledge of the legal market

  • Proven experience of delivery high quality work within tight SLAs and the ability to manage an effective and high performing team

  • Advanced Microsoft – Outlook, Word, Excel & Powerpoint skills

  • The ability to work towards deadlines and apply a good level of time management

  • Experience with IBM Cognos Packages desirable

  • Experience with AS400 Systems desirable

  • An awareness of our business partners and ability to identify issues both positive and negative that affect them

  • Understanding of all regulatory requirements set out by the Central Bank and any Regulatory Reporting

  • Ability to communicate at all levels and on all formats in a clear, practical and informative way

  • Have a desire to improve and take ownership of own personal development
