About The Role

We have a great opportunity for a Development Manager to join DAS UK Group, a leading insurance and legal services provider.

As a Development Manager you will be responsible for managing the various development teams to support the delivery of business solutions. This is a great opportunity to oversee the management and delivery of projects and BAU change across both our Insurance and law business, involving heritage IT as well as progressive full stack development technologies.

A key part of the role will be to work with the IT Ops Lead, Architects and Security teams to ensure the developed solutions meet not just the BAU needs of the organisation, but also consider the strategic, transformative journey that DAS is undertaking. It’s important to us that you’re able to communicate, collaborate and build close relationships within the business, supporting the development of business initiatives by introducing technology opportunities and efficiencies. We’re looking for applicants who have the ability to communicate and influence technical and non-technical stakeholders, using language appropriate to the audience.

You’ll work closely with the Head of Technology and Architecture to understand the strategic future of DAS giving you a unique opportunity to shape how development plays a part in transforming the organisation.

About You

We’d like to hear from applicants with significant experience in managing a development team and who can demonstrate;

  • Experience of both heritage and progressive development technologies and practices;
  • The ability to encourage continuous improvement/ongoing staff development;
  • Experience of working in a Regulated Industry and Structured environment;
  • A hands-on approach to successful IT management;
  • Transformation change experience;
  • Experience of IT Strategy development and implementation; and
  • An ability to deliver added business value through the adoption of new technology.
