DAS UK Group (part of the Munich Re Group), a market-leading insurer and legal services provider, is seeking to recruit a Tax Manager to join our dedicated Finance Team.

As a Tax Manager, your core responsibilities will be to ensure DAS UK Group meets all of its direct and indirect tax reporting requirements and to ensure robust tax compliance in line with the Group Tax Strategy. You’ll also be expected to optimise tax by effective tax planning for day-to-day operations, projects, new deals and initiatives.
In addition to the above, your day-to-day duties will include, but will not be limited to:
- Ensuring that the external compliance tax reporting and associated reconciliations are undertaken accurately, on a timely basis and in a compliant manner (including but not limited to VAT, IPT, Corporation Tax and monitoring HR tax compliance);
- Ensuring that the quarterly Corporation Tax financial reporting calculation processes, reconciliations are performed in a timely manner for Group reporting purposes;
- Drafting Corporation Tax annual statutory reporting disclosures for all companies in the DAS UK Group;
- Identifying, recording, measuring and reporting specific Tax Risk issues as and when they arise, identifying mitigations and implementing on a risk-prioritised basis;
- Monitoring and reviewing strategies, policies and processes relating to the role with a view to managing implementation of improvements to increase efficiency where possible;
- Developing risk awareness throughout the business to reduce Compliance Risk;
- Maintaining an appropriate tax transfer pricing policy;
- Identifying and managing an appropriate response to applicable tax developments, influencing the business accordingly and ensuring the UK Group is fully compliant;
- Managing UK Group tax risks and Senior Accounting Officer’s tax certification process;
