We have a new opportunity for a Solutions Architect to join DAS UK Group, a market leading insurer and legal services provider. This is a full time, permanent position, however we are very open to discuss flexible working options.

Based in central Bristol, just a short walk from Bristol Temple Meads, this role will be responsible for defining high level, and detailed IT solution designs and options in conjunction with Tech Leads and SMEs in support of strategic business initiatives, smaller business driven projects and IT Foundations projects. This role will ensure the solutions selected and designed, align to the enterprise architecture, principles and governance.

You will be instrumental in the investigation and research into the use of new technologies and lead proofs of concept, taking a hands-on approach, to demonstrate the value of new technologies and creating sound business cases to support the procurement process.

This position will give you the opportunity to build close relationships across teams within the IT department and other technical teams and business departments throughout the company. We’d therefore welcome applications from candidates who are able to communicate and influence technical and non-technical stakeholders using language appropriate to the audience.

This is a great opportunity to showcase your ability to understand business requirements and support and advise on the development of business cases for applications, systems and solutions. In addition you can expect to:

• Support the IT Management Team in developing an IT Strategy in line with the published ERGO IT Strategy;
• Produce ‘fit for purpose’ solution designs that meet stated business requirements, key business goals & milestones and constraints; and
• Provide appropriate technical support for product selection and procurement, software and solution design across the business;

We’d like to hear from candidates who have experience of Solutions Architecture and who can demonstrate:

• Experience of designing solutions for deployment as cloud based solutions.
• Knowledge of the development and implementation of IT strategy.
• Knowledge of IT solutions & architecture across; Application solutions, Infrastructure, Cyber Security and Operations;
• Familiarity with ITIL service management processes.
• A working knowledge of the business analysis discipline and processes.
