DAS UK Group, a market-leading insurance and legal services provider, has an exciting new opportunity for a Junior Full Stack Developer/Software Engineer to join us in our IT department in Bristol. Our Full Stack team is currently looking for a Junior Software Engineer, who will ideally have at least 6 months+ commercial experience.

The successful candidate will be responsible for building user interfaces and business and integration services for the modernisation of a legacy system and to support the delivery of new business capabilities.

If successful you will be given ample opportunity to train new skills and to exercise your creative flare through solo and group projects. You will also be expected to support the whole team through urgent bug fixes and software sprints.

The successful candidate will work closely with the in-house Architecture Team, Application Development Manager and the IT Operations team to ensure solutions are designed and built to be fit for purpose and that meet business and operational requirements.

They will in addition, be expected to work closely with other members of the IT Department as well as the Project & Change Management and Information Management and Business Intelligence Teams.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:

• Experience of developing full-stack software applications
• Experience in core Java/J2EE technologies
• Experience in service oriented architecture concepts such as REST, XSD, XML parsing, and Web Services client and service development; and 
• Knowledge and understanding of frameworks
