About The Role

DAS UK Group, a market-leading Legal Expenses Insurance business, have an exciting opportunity for a facilities/project management professional to join us as a Property Manager on a 12 month Fixed Term Contract. Based in central Bristol with great remote and flexible working options, this role will involve assisting the Property Programme Manager (PPM) with delivering the long term strategy for Facilities supplier management, Health & Safety and sustainability reporting. In addition to ensuring a safe and suitable working environment for our people, tenants and business activities, further responsibilities of the role include:

  • Reviewing existing Facilities contracts, ensuring these are administered correctly in line with agreed SLAs whilst also identifying opportunities to streamline the number of supplier relationships in keeping with DAS’ altered property portfolio;
  • Completing a review of Health and Safety policies and procedures, ensuring these are in line with prevailing legislation;
  • Ensuring legal and other compliance for all the facilities functions;
  • Managing risk assessments, including DSE, Fire and Infrastructure, development of procedures and checking compliance against legal and other requirements;
  • Championing and promoting environmental matters internally and externally by implementing communications and initiatives;
  • Working closely with internal and external stakeholders in the development and delivery of the Facilities Strategy;
  • Supporting the Property Programme Manager with reviewing and owning property budgets, forecasts and other financial matters;
  • Managing all outsourced facilities management contracts, both hard and soft services, and ensuring that they are tendered and managed in line with DAS internal processes;
  • Where reasonable, act as the point of contact for out of hours support;
  • Managing and assisting in the procurement of the company insurances; and
  • Working with the Risk and Compliance Teams to ensure that all facilities processes and procedures are compliant with the DAS UK Group ISO 27001 certification and GDPR.
About You

We are seeking individuals with the following experience and attributes:

  • Excellent ability to influence supplier relationships;
  • Experience of outsourcing and contract negotiation;
  • Project management experience (useful);
  • Commercially astute, with the ability to read, review and understand contracts;
  • Proven experience of working with a variety of stakeholders and building relationships to meet business needs;
  • Excellent communication, presentation and influencing skills, both written and verbal, to all levels of people (internal and external);
  • Proven Microsoft Office Skills; and
  • Experience of Facilities Management (useful)

Whilst this is a full-time position (35 hours), at DAS we support flexible working and are happy to discuss flexible working options.
