About The Role

We have a new opportunity for a 3rd Line Technical Support to join DAS UK Group, a market leader in the Legal Expenses Insurance market on a 12 month Fixed Term Contract.

This role will focus on completing the migration of existing on premise servers to cloud, in line with the architecture, security and data guide line, and will provide support to the Solutions Architect and the rest of the IT team.

This position is ideal for someone who is looking for real hands on experience and who can demonstrate a good level of communication and engagement with third parties. In addition, it’s important to us that the successful applicant can demonstrate the ability to analyse and understand problems, functional and non-functional requirement and provide advice on solution feasibility.

It’s key that the successful candidate has proven networking skills and is willing to travel to any of our two offices (Central Bristol and Caerphilly) as well as 3rd party Data Centres.

About You

We’re looking for someone with proven experience in 3rd line engineering in infrastructure and who is able to demonstrate knowledge of cloud offerings e.g. AWS/Azure and Microsoft skills. In addition to the above, we’d like to hear from applicants who can demonstrate:

  • Experience in supporting AWS/Azure solution in a hybrid cloud environment.
  • Experience of Virtual Desktop infrastructure desktop solution
  • Experience WAN and LAN in a hybrid multi-site environment
  • Confident using Active Directory (e.g. GPO, DNS, DHCP).
  • Confident in SAN support and maintenance, preferably netapp.
  • AS400 skills would be advantageous.
  • Experience of system administration, supporting multiple platforms and applications.
