About The Role

DAS UK Group would like to introduce an exciting new opportunity to join our Business Partner Assurance (BPA) team. Whilst this position is based at our head office in Bristol, at DAS we support flexible working and are open to discuss flexible working options.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and committed Business Partner Consultant to help us shape the future of BPA within DAS UK Group. Who are we and what do we do?

Working within Client Services, the BPA team works closely with internal & external stakeholders to provide assurance to the business around the conduct of our business partners. We look at a wide range of indicators and processes such as sales distribution methods, regulatory requirements, bordereau, contractual obligations, customer outcomes and complaint handling to consult on risks associated with controls in accordance with our FCA requirements.

As a Business Partner Consultant you will be responsible for the oversight and governance of the regulatory and business risks relating to our business partner relationships in accordance with a risk-based plan, to maintain the regulatory compliance and market reputation of DAS. The role will also encompass wider risk referral and consultancy responsibilities.

“No two days are the same in BPA so this has been a great role for me to diversify and bring excitement & intrigue into my work life! I have a passion for ensuring customers are treated fairly and industry standards are maintained so this role has been a great way of ensuring key business processes are working at optimum levels and I love to drive change where things can be improved. My role in assurance is quite different to an audit function because the scope of the role allows me to become involved with finding route causes where controls have failed & analysing processes to ensure they are operating as intended. My day is spent scoping out, reviewing & analysing business processes & data whilst presenting outcomes & recommendations to Client Services on how we can better improve our standards. There is a duty in this role to provide assurance to the business on a wide range of controls so for me the job provides a great sense of commitment, dedication & satisfaction which is exactly what I need from my career. This is a fantastic role to gain experience, network & exposure across all functions of DAS.   • An understanding of the UK regulatory framework for financial services, in particular the FCA, including ICOBS;
  • An ability to analyse and interpret data from customer, financial and operational data;
  • Effective problem solving and decision making skills;
  • Evidence of auditing and feedback experience;
  • Experience of influencing and effective collaboration with functions and stakeholders outside of immediate control;
  • Good communication and relationship building skills;
  • Project management knowledge and experience (desirable);
  • A tenacious and effective approach to exceeding targets (both individually and through a team);
  • An evident passion for area of expertise, delivery and sharing of best practice.
  • Good business acumen (including good understanding of internal and external markets and best practice) and proven commercial and financial awareness; and
  • An ability to work at pace whilst maintaining an accurate, high quality output.
