About The Role

We have an exciting six month fixed-term opportunity for a Senior Financial Analyst with existing insurance experience to join our Reporting team in central Bristol. As part of DAS UK Group, a market leading insurer and legal services provider, this is a great opportunity to further develop your career.

This role will expose you to a variety of different tasks and challenges and is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in financial planning and analysis.

Working closely with the Reporting team and the wider DAS UK Group business community, you will make use of your own initiative together with analysis of MI to develop a deeper understanding of the financial performance of DAS UK.

As a Senior Financial Analyst you can expect to:

  • Prepare financial information that is used in, and help coordinate the preparation of, presentations to Group, Audit Committee presentations and Board presentations;
  • Provide insight to business performance to the Reporting team and wider DAS UK Group;
  • Be responsible for planning/forecasting and developing and maintaining all relevant models;
  • Demonstrate the financial risks and opportunities to the business using internal and external market data to present scenario and sensitivity analysis
  • Manage key relationships within the Group, DAS Operational & Functional teams, DAS Finance team and the DAS Management team;
  • Turn data into accurate, readable and relevant operational financial information and management information;
  • Build up a detailed understanding of DAS’s market place and products; and
  • Undertake various ad-hoc activities to support the DAS Management team and carry out any other duties to support and promote the DAS Finance function
About You

We are looking for applicants that have:

  • An accountancy qualification (preferably CIMA/ACCA/ACA) OR part qualified with some PQE;
  • A background in the insurance industry;
  • Knowledge of using Microsoft Excel, databases and analytical tools, excel VBA would be an advantage;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • The ability to explain calculations in a logical and understandable way to non-finance colleagues; and
  • An ability to build good relationships with colleagues across DAS and elsewhere within the ERGO Group.
