About The Role

We are recruiting for a Technical Claims Technician to join the Technical Claims team in Bristol on a 12 month Fixed Term Contract. The team is part of the wider Customer and Legal Solutions area and is responsible for ensuring that DAS UK Group are making the correct technical decisions on claims and spending indemnity in the right way.

As a Technical Claims Technician you will be involved in the analysis of claims experience and claims performance, working in conjunction with the relevant Claims Manager. Whilst you’ll provide technical support to the Head of Technical Claims and various Claims Managers by identifying and reporting on trend analysis and providing the business with valuable information around claims costs, claims trends, leakage, declinatures and areas for improvement, you do not need to have worked in Claims to apply.

Working closely with the Head of Technical Claims you will support the team and the wider Group to ensure that the claims provision provides a great service and value for our customers.

About You

We’d like to hear from you if you have claims experience, although this is not essential, or have worked closely with the claims teams and are able to demonstrate:  

  • An awareness of technical claims (you do not need to have worked in Claims to apply);
  • Experience of influencing and effective collaboration with functions and stakeholders outside of immediate control;
  • An evident passion for delivery, area of expertise and sharing best practice;
  • Good communication and relationship building skills with the ability to communicate information in a clear and commercial manner; adapting style and content for different audiences;
  • A good understanding of internal and external markets and best practice in addition to good commercial and financial awareness;
  • An innovative approach and ability to develop meaningful long term strategic and operational plans (including driving continuous improvement); and
  • The ability to work at pace whilst maintaining an accurate, high quality output.
