About The Role

DAS Law are seeking an Associate to join our growing Contract Disputes team within our Litigation & Dispute Management Department. As part of the Wider DAS UK Group, which includes our market-leading Legal Expenses Insurance provision, DAS Law enjoys a steady stream of varied and interesting work in to the firm.

As an Associate in the Contract Disputes team, you will proactively handle a caseload of consumer and commercial contract cases, with the following responsibilities:

  • Assessing the prospects of success of contract claims consisting of consumer and commercial contract disputes, of a Fast and low-end Multi Track value
  • Acting for clients, negotiating and litigating claims through the civil courts if necessary to trial
  • Providing an excellent customer service to clients of DAS Law
  • Assisting the team leader when required, and coaching junior members of the team with their caseloads
  • Negotiating claims to a successful outcome through the most efficient and economic means
About You

We are looking for candidates with the following experience & attributes:

  • Experience and sound knowledge of contract law and civil procedures is essential, including some experience of running fast track value cases
  • Qualifications will be LLB/LPC/ILEX/GDL or equivalent
  • Articulate and confident in client care and ability to embrace a changing environment in a new kind of law firm
  • The candidate will need to adhere to the SRA Handbook
  • The candidate must have excellent client care skills
  • Ability to act on own initiative and knowing when to seek assistance
  • Competent at adapting style to communication need
