How do I apply for a job with DAS?

We use an online application process for all vacancies at DAS. You can search for vacancies by clicking here

If you see a vacancy that you are interested in applying for, you will need to complete a sequence of steps online in order to submit your application. Please make sure you follow the instructions on screen.

There isn’t a vacancy that matches my requirements, can I send my CV speculatively to you?

If you can’t find a role, please register for Email Alerts by clicking here. The Email Alert function will ensure any new vacancies matching your requirements are emailed to you.

I have a disability which may require special adjustments to be made throughout the recruitment process. What should I do?

Please contact [email protected] if you feel a disability may impact any stage of the recruitment process and we will work to support you with this.

I don’t have a CV, can I still apply for a job with DAS?

When you apply online you will be given the option to attach your CV. In order for you to really show case your skills and experience we would recommend applying with a CV.

When will I hear back following my application?

You will receive email confirmation when your application has been submitted successfully. Due to the volume of applications we receive we are not able to respond directly to all applicants

Can I apply for more than one vacancy with DAS?

Yes you can, however please be aware that often vacancies will progress through the recruitment process at different rates. Please bear in mind we are unable to keep a position open unnecessarily so you may have to make some decisions along the way with regards to the roles you are applying for.

Can I apply for a job by email or post?

We require that all applications are made online.

I have made an error in my application, how can I amend it?

Unfortunately once you have submitted your application you’re unable to make any changes to the information you have provided. Should you need to make a change please email the Recruitment Team at [email protected]

Can I apply if I require a permit to work in the UK?

Unfortunately we are unable to employ anyone who doesn’t have the right to work in the UK or to sponsor work permits.

How do I get feedback on my application?

Due to the volume of applications we receive, unfortunately we’re unable to provide feedback at application stage. If you have completed a face-to-face interview we will ensure that feedback is provided to you.

Screening & Interviewing

If I am selected for a telephone interview, what should I expect?

A member of the Recruitment Team will be in touch with you by telephone or email to let you know you have been shortlisted and book you in for a telephone interview. Information regarding the interview will be emailed to you. Our telephone interviews usually last between 20 and 30 minutes.

Please make sure you have your CV to hand and are in a quiet place for interview.

What do you look for in applicants?

As well as the required level of skill and experience for the role, DAS is a values-based employer and we will be looking for people who demonstrate these. Details of our values can be found here.

What interview process do you follow?

We use a combination of telephone and face-to-face interviewing, assessment centres, psychometric testing, personality profiling and skills based assessments.

Although we operate a standard 2-stage interview process, at times this may change dependent on the role we are recruiting for. We will ensure you are fully aware of what to expect at each stage of the interview process.

Will there be any tests or assessments during the interviews?

If there are to be any tests or assessments exercises during the interview the Recruitment Team will let you know in advance.

Can I claim travel expenses for attending an interview?

We do not cover candidate’s travel expenses to and from interview.

Do you have any interview tips?

Although interviews should be challenging, we will try to make the whole experience as comfortable as we can. Here are a few things to think about:

  • Read the job description in detail and make note of your strengths, skills and experience with the requirements of the job you are applying for
  • Familiarise yourself with our values and make sure you have researched the company thoroughly
  • When you’re asked a question during your interview, take your time to answer and think through what you want to say.
  • Consider what it is about DAS and the job you’re applying for that appeals to you.

Job Offers

What happens if I get offered a job at DAS?

We will get in touch with you straight away!

One of the Recruitment Team will contact you by telephone to let you know the good news; they’ll also talk you through what we’re offering you. Your offer letter and full contract of employment will be sent to you via the online recruitment system

The Recruitment team will be in touch with you throughout this period to make arrangements for your start date.

Do DAS have a referencing process?

We do, yes.

Your offer of employment will be conditional upon receipt of satisfactory references.

When you have received a verbal offer, we will ask you to submit the contact details of people we can seek references from.

Will I need to be DBS checked?

Everyone who joins the business will need to complete a satisfactory DBS check.

To comply with data protection regulations DAS is committed to processing information relating to a Data Subject fairly and transparently.

We may collect personal details, including your name, address, date of birth, email address and career history for the purpose of available vacancies and roles across the DAS UK Group. We will only obtain your personal information either directly from you, via talent / recruitment solutions or from an authorised agent acting on your behalf for the purposes of employment opportunities.

Who we are

DAS is part of DAS UK Holdings Limited (DAS UK Group). The uses of your personal data by us and members of the DAS UK Group are covered by our individual company registrations with the Information Commissioner’s Office. How we will use your information

We will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Notice. Any transfer outside of the EEA will be encrypted using SSL technology.

We will not disclose your person data to any other person or organisation unless we are required to by our legal and regulatory obligations. For example, we may use and share your personal data with other organisations and public bodies, including the police and anti-fraud organisations, for the prevention and detection of crime, including fraud and financial sanctions.

What is our legal basis for processing your information?

It is necessary for us to use your personal information to successfully match your details to possible internal vacancies on the basis of your personal Consent. Should you be successful in any application, we may have to pass your personal details to an authorised 3rd party under the legal basis of Legitimate Interest for the provision of critical employment services in relation to any employment contract that we may issue to you.

How long will your information be held for?

We will retain your personal data for a maximum of 7 years. We will only retain and use your personal data thereafter as necessary to comply with any specific regulatory or legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. What are your rights?

You have the following rights in relation to the handling of your personal data:

  • You have the right to have inaccuracies corrected for personal data held about you

Recruitment Agencies

DAS will only pay a fee for candidates submitted or presented where there is a signed Recruitment Partner Supplier Agreement in place between DAS and the recruitment agency prior to CV submission and only if the candidate has been submitted using the Applicant Tracking System. In the case of candidate(s) submitted or presented to DAS by a recruitment supplier or agency without a signed agreement or where a candidate has not been uploaded to a vacancy on the Applicant Tracking System DAS reserves the right to contact and/or hire those candidate(s) without any financial obligation to the recruitment supplier or agency.
